- Enroll in Early Childhood Education or Education as a Profession pathway courses. Earn high school credit to learn about the teaching profession! In addition, students who complete either pathway are eligible to receive 3-6 college credits due to a statewide articulation agreement with the University System of Georgia and Technical College System of Georgia.
- Connect with Georgia’s professional teacher associations to learn about teacher interest events for high school students!
- Connect with other teachers to learn more about the profession. Volunteer to work with children or serve in leadership roles to determine if teaching is the right fit for you!
- Apply to attend a four-year college or university with an approved Georgia Professional Standards Commission educator preparation program. In some cases, students may use transfer credits to apply toward a four-year degree from other colleges or college credit programs (ex. Dual Enrollment, Advanced Placement, etc.). Check with the four-year college or university you plan on attending to determine what credits are eligible for transfer.
